Description of case implementation of the POS monitoring system with Eurosens equipment

Object: Portable cold container Arctic Horizon

Project: GPS/GLONASS monitoring and telemetry: temperature

The document describes an example of the implementation of the monitoring system of modular cold rooms with solar panels and demonstrates the practical results obtained by telemetry.

ArcticStore Horizon containers are solar power. New solar panels fit to the roof of any container you hire from us and can be adjusted up to 45 degrees to catch the sun. Mechatronics enables remote functionality such as temperature set point changes, defrosting, performance monitoring, status reporting, plus you can configure alarm notifications.

The initial objective

The customer identified the following risk areas:

1. maintaining the required temperature;
2. performance monitoring and on-site data download;
3. defrosting control;
3. status reporting within 0.25 of 1 degree;
4. Angle inclination measurement of solar panels.

The objective of the implementation is to obtain a single data flow for location, the ambient air temperature, door openings, solar panels inclination as well as to form a set of reports and notifications for dispatcher, mechanic and site manager.

Object and conditions of application

Monitoring object: ARCTIC HORIZON TITU 835014-8, used for storing and transporting
safely products which are at their best when sustained at ultra-low temperatures. In the
typical cycle of work, the storage is portable.

Controlled performance:

  • Logistics: route tracking, parking location;
  • Technology: precise temperature control throughout the storage container;
  • Sustainability: angle inclination measurement of solar panels.

Solution configuration

The implementation is based on a monitoring terminal with GPS/GLONASS and
interfaces CAN/RS485/RS232/Bluetooth. Data collection is carried out in parallel on
several tracks:

Subsystem Equipment Interface What the customer gets
Logistics Monitoring terminal GPS/GLONASS Tracks, geofences, parking, work confirmation
Technology Eurosens DTS BLE BLE Ambient air temperature
Sustainability Eurosens Degree RS‑232 / RS‑485, BLE Solar panel tilt angle measurement

Stages of implementation

1. Installation of the terminal
2. Connection of the Eurosens sensors: Eurosens DTS Bt with external element inside
the cold room to control the ambient temperature, sensors are connected via BLE
interface.
3. Installation of tilt inclination sensor Degree BT on solar panels.
4. Object configuration in the monitoring system.

Results of the pilot

Below is an example of the results for the pilot week (06.01.2026 – 11.02.2026).
